a story of literally no importance

stephin merritt parkway

last weekend ben and I visited a place where we used to live. I took some pictures of it.

but wait till you go inside

we went inside and were shocked to learn that the new residents were much better at interior design than we had been. we immediately regretted everything in our lives up to that point.
That is a bicycle wheel with christmas lights on the wall.
We didn't even have a couch.

However. The shelf I built in my bathroom was still there. Look at the cardboard keeping it level on the left side! I built that! Seeing this shelf again felt amazing.
Some things will be forgotten but some
things are never going to be forgotten.

In conclusion, don't visit places you used to live, it's better to look to the future. Do a dance!

I slept on their couch and was awakened at 5am by a cat purring in my face. So, you know. Good house.
Adam forgot to mention that they moved the kitchen table a foot out from the walls so people can, you know, sit around it.
But we were better at sports, or something.

That living room looks infinitely more habitable than when I had to sleep in there. I wish I was friends with these people and not you.
